During the interview, Trump emphasized that "this is Russia, and it is much stronger." He added that the war between the two countries was unnecessary: "If I were president, it wouldn't have happened. I foresaw problems when it all started."
▫️ Is the delay on Zelensky's part his responsibility?
Trump replied: "He should read the last sentence. The situation is serious, and many people are dying. So it would be helpful if he paid attention to this. His team clearly doesn't like it."
▫️ Should Ukraine hold elections now?
"Yes, it is time. A lot of time has passed since they held elections. They use the war as an excuse for their absence, but the citizens of Ukraine deserve to vote. Zelensky might win, but elections haven't been held for a long time. Speaking of democracy, at some point, it is no longer democracy."
▫️ If Zelensky refuses the deal, will there be a moment when you say 'enough'?
"They need to work together. If they don't read the agreements, it will be difficult with Russia, as Russia has the advantage. Putin does not sympathize with Zelensky, and it is hard for them to come to an agreement. I ended eight wars, and this could be the ninth. I reconciled Pakistan and India, and I am proud of that. I know how to make deals, but this situation is very complicated."
▫️ Is supporting Ukraine until victory a reality for Europe?
"As long as they don't collapse, let them continue to support. I am friends with all of them and love them, but Europe is struggling in many ways. They talk a lot but do not act."
▫️ You presented a new National Security Strategy that surprised Europe. Should leaders prepare for your intervention?
"Today's Europe is a completely different continent. If this continues, many of these countries, in my opinion, will cease to exist. Their migration policy is a disaster. We also had a threat, but I prevented it. Now no one crosses our borders."
"Europe, on the contrary, is accepting people from all over the world. For some reason, Europeans strive to be politically correct and do not send them back."
"I loved Paris, but now it is a different city. London has also changed. A terrible mayor, who is incompetent, is running the city. It pains me to see the places I love changing. I have roots in Europe."
▫️ Do you plan to influence elections in Europe?
"I want to run the USA, not Europe. But I have supported people who many in Europe do not like — for example, Viktor Orban. He successfully controls migration by not letting anyone into the country."
▫️ Are there NATO countries that you believe should not be members?
"Some countries complicate NATO's work, for example, Turkey. Erdogan is my friend. When problems arise with him, they ask me for help because they cannot handle it themselves."
▫️ Should NATO stop accepting new members?
"Honestly, there are not many new countries left. Before Putin, there was an unspoken agreement that Ukraine would not become a NATO member, but now they insist. When Zelensky first met with Putin, he said: 'I want two things: Crimea and NATO'."
▫️ Is Russia satisfied with the new course of the USA? Is this good?
"I think Russia would like to see a weak Europe, and frankly, they are achieving that. But it has nothing to do with me. I want Europe to be strong. My vision is primarily for the USA. Make America great again. What is happening in Europe is terrible, and people need to take action."
In the interview, Trump also praised his economic policy despite criticism from Americans, especially regarding the rising cost of living. He noted that his economic measures led to significant investments and improvements in the country. "We created the largest investment project in history in just ten months. We are experiencing the largest energy program ever. We are producing more energy than ever before, and this is reflected in prices and wages," he added.
Trump also stated that he closed the borders after a long period of mass immigration, making them safe, humorously adding that they are now safer than in North Korea.
