According to them, the food was distributed under the Christmas tree and donated to local food banks. These "Robin Hoods" also criticized large corporations for the constant price increases and the inaccessibility of essential goods for the population.
However, representatives of the Metro chain emphasized that theft, regardless of motives, remains a criminal offense. The company's spokesperson reminded that in 2025, the chain had already allocated significant funds to support food banks and charitable organizations for those in need.
