These measures are aimed at improving safety and service quality
The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, has initiated urgent measures to enhance the efficiency of vehicle technical inspections. The corresponding decree has already been signed.
These actions are aimed at improving road safety, enhancing the quality of services provided, and stabilizing prices in the field of technical inspections.
The measures will be in effect from January 1 to December 31 of the current year. The state enterprise "Technical Center of the Main Department for Ensuring Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic" has been appointed as the operator in this area.
Accreditation certificates issued by the Kyrgyz Accreditation Center under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce will be valid until July 1, 2026. At the same time, during the period of temporary regulation, the extension and issuance of new certificates for supervisory bodies and laboratories will be suspended.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs must organize the establishment of a network of technical inspection points across the country, equip them with modern diagnostic equipment, and prepare qualified specialists. Additionally, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Ministry of Finance, must identify funding sources. In cooperation with the city administrations of Bishkek and Osh, plans are in place to address the allocation of land plots for technical inspection points.
The overall oversight of the implementation of these measures is entrusted to the administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
