The decision will take effect from January 1
Sadyr Japarov, the President of Kyrgyzstan, has decided to cancel several decrees related to the implementation of the pilot project for the administrative-territorial reform in the country. The corresponding decree has already been signed.
As a result of these changes, the rural districts and urban areas of the republic will be affected, specifically the temporary transfer of the departments of district and regional ministries under the control of local administrations.
The following measures have been canceled:
- the decree on the pilot reform in the rural districts of the Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions;
- decisions to extend the pilot reform to all rural districts and cities of the republic;
- the decree concerning the temporary management of territorial divisions of ministries within the framework of the pilot project.
This presidential decree will take effect from January 1, 2026.
