During a radio broadcast, economist Nasirdin Shamsiyev shared his forecasts for the country's future economic development, stating that by 2026, industrial growth will be at least 7.5%, and the construction sector, according to him, will increase by 20%.

Shamsiyev also noted that projects for the construction of water capture facilities and reservoirs have been approved. As part of these initiatives, the construction of 120 facilities is planned, which will allow Kyrgyzstan to fully ensure its water supply.

In addition, the completion of the alternative North-South road is expected to reduce the load on the main highway Osh-Bishkek, while the modernization of the railway fleet will continue.

The economist emphasized the importance of domestic demand as a key factor for economic growth. "Active consumption depends on the income of the population. Domestic demand should increase by at least 4.5%," he stressed.

Shamsiyev also added that attention will be focused on supporting small and medium-sized businesses, which already account for 51% of the gross domestic product. Programs with low interest rates and grants for entrepreneurs, as well as support in agriculture, are planned.

"These measures have already helped 20,000 entrepreneurs receive more than 12 billion soms and create about 21,000 jobs," he concluded.
