The Jogorku Kenesh supported the bills on the republican budget
As Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev reported, the real growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) was 11.5%, exceeding the initial forecast of 9%.
According to him, the nominal GDP increased from 639 billion soms in 2020 to 1.6 trillion soms in 2024, and it is expected to reach 1.8 trillion soms by 2025, indicating nearly a threefold growth of the economy in recent years.
Kasymaliev also noted that the country's economy continues to show stable results: by the end of 2024, GDP per capita will amount to $2,513, which is 86% more compared to 2021. In 2025, further growth of this indicator is projected to $2,800.
Additionally, he reported that in 2024, the volume of investments in fixed capital reached 283.2 billion soms, which is 18.1% more than the previous year.
The head of the cabinet added that the state continues to implement large strategic infrastructure projects included in the National Development Program until 2030. Among them are the construction of the Kambar-Ata HPP-1 and the railway from China to Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan, which will ensure the energy and transport security of the republic.
During the discussion, Kasymaliev urged committee members to support the projects in three readings, emphasizing the necessity of signing the law by the end of the year. However, Deputy Dastan Jumabekov expressed the opinion that this violates the regulations.
Nevertheless, the committees on finance, budget, entrepreneurship and competition development, constitutional legislation, state structure, local self-government and regulations, labor, health, women's affairs and social issues, agrarian policy, water resources, ecology and environmental protection, science, education, innovative development, culture, sports and youth policy, as well as industrial policy and transport approved the bills in three readings.
Today, December 24, the members of parliament also confirmed their support for these bills in three readings.
