In the podcast of journalist Ernis Kyazov, Syimyk Japykeev reported that after the events of October, he received $10,000 from Sadyr Japarov as support.

When asked by Kyazov whether it was true that he allegedly received $500,000 during his public service and then became a general, Japykeev noted that the rumors about $5 million have no basis.

He also mentioned that at a certain point he needed a sum of $30,000; however, as Japykeev claims, Japarov was unable to help him, although he provided $10,000 as assistance. At the time of the conversation, Japarov was serving as acting president or had already been elected to that position, but Japykeev did not specify exactly when this was.

“People were shouting 'Sadyr, Sadyr, Sadyr!' I told him that I supported him, even though I could have chosen not to; I had other options. Then I asked him for support, and he gave me $10,000. Each time he promised me a job, saying to wait, but in the end, he did not offer me any position. I turned to the Military Prosecutor's Office and other agencies, but he replied that I wouldn’t manage. How is that? Others managed, but I didn’t? In the end, I lost the desire to ask him for anything. And about those $5 million… Why believe such rumors? As if someone saw me receiving them. It’s just speculation. I have always been an honest person and have never asked for a single penny,” he added.

Japykeev also explained the situation regarding his pension. When asked whether the status of a general provides a high pension, he replied that he does not receive a pension.

“To receive a pension, you need to work for 20 years without interruption. I worked for 18 years and 2 months, and I lack 10 months,” he concluded, emphasizing that he does not receive any benefits from his rank as a general.
