During the discussion, Trump also noted that there is progress in the Middle East and the situation in the region is improving. "There is indeed PEACE in the Middle East," he added.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the country is ready to open its nuclear facilities for international inspections to demonstrate its unwillingness to develop nuclear weapons. This statement was made against the backdrop of ongoing negotiations aimed at preventing military actions by the U.S. However, it remains unclear whether Iran's current policy, which allows only partial inspections, will change.

“We have repeatedly emphasized that we do not seek to possess nuclear weapons,” Pezeshkian stated. “We are open to any inspections.”

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi reported that inspectors from the organization have been waiting for several months for permission to access three key Iranian uranium enrichment facilities that were struck by Israel and the U.S. in June 2025. According to him, a change in Iran's position during the current negotiations could indicate a desire for transparency, which would make any justifications for new attacks questionable.

At the same time, the Pentagon is preparing to deploy a second aircraft carrier to the Middle East, as reported by The Wall Street Journal. This decision is linked to the increasing pressure on Iran from Trump, who is demanding a deal on the nuclear program. According to three U.S. officials, the Pentagon has been instructed to prepare a second carrier strike group for deployment as American military forces get ready for potential actions against Iran. However, a final decision regarding a forceful scenario has yet to be made at the White House.
