According to preliminary data, on the Bishkek — Osh road, in the area of 255–260 km (sections "Pelmennaia" and "Elik"), an avalanche occurred, leading to a temporary halt in traffic. A loader from DEP No. 23 was dispatched to the scene, and by 12:00, the road was cleared in both directions. No injuries among people have been reported.
At the "Aral" post in the Toktogul district, the movement of all vehicles is temporarily restricted.
Also, on the Ala-Buka—Jany-Bazar—Kirovka highway, avalanches have been observed in several sections, and clearing operations have been ongoing for the second day.
Since February 12, 2026, by the order of the akim of the Chatkal district, a state of emergency of level II has been declared in this area.
Additionally, on February 11 at around 23:44 on the alternative North—South road, in the "Kapchygai" area between the Jumgal and Toguz-Toro districts (275–290 km), avalanches occurred in 11 sections with a total volume of 10,300 cubic meters.
Civil defense services from the Toguz-Toro district were dispatched to the scene, and traffic was restored in one direction. 17 vehicles with passengers were evacuated to a safe location, and the passengers of five cars that were blocked at 260 km were taken to the village of Kazarman.
To prevent possible incidents, minimize material damage, and ensure the safety of citizens, a decision has been made to temporarily close traffic in the "Kapchygai" section of the alternative North—South road until the avalanche clearing is fully completed.
