At the video summit dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and five Central Asian countries, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced China's intention to open its vast markets to the countries of the region. He emphasized that China plans to increase imports of high-quality products and agricultural goods from Central Asia while continuing to hold forums on trade and economic cooperation. Xi Jinping expressed hope that by 2030, bilateral trade turnover would reach 70 billion US dollars.

According to Xinhua, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi noted that within the framework of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), the country will strive for more effective and substantive interaction with Central Asia. He added that Beijing intends to cooperate with Central Asian countries to modernize and create a "community with a shared future."

Wang Zhihua, Director of the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce of China, stated that China not only aims to be the "world's factory" but also to develop as a "world market," opening new opportunities for goods and services from around the globe. These intentions are already being implemented through specific political measures.

To date, high-quality agricultural products from Central Asia, such as honey, fruits, and wheat, are actively entering Chinese supermarkets and e-commerce platforms. More than 100 types of agricultural and food products have received official permission for export to China, and over 4,000 companies from Central Asia have already been allowed into the Chinese market. In 2025, the import volume from Central Asian countries amounted to 35.1 billion US dollars, which is a 14% increase compared to the previous year.
