At a joint meeting of the parliamentary factions "Ishenim" and "Ala-Too," information was presented about the current activities of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, according to a statement from the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh.

Deputy Minister of Health Tilek Mamadaliev, in his speech, shared key indicators of the national healthcare system and discussed issues related to increasing salaries for medical workers, developing the infrastructure of medical institutions, and improving the material and technical base. He also talked about the implementation of innovations in healthcare, including issues related to organ transplantation.

Furthermore, Tilek Mamadaliev noted problems with staffing in healthcare. "As of January 1, 2026, there were 12,384 doctors and 28,934 specialists with secondary medical education working in the country. Compared to 2024, the staffing level has decreased. The most acute shortages are observed in the following areas: family medicine, therapy, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, anesthesiology and resuscitation, sanitary and epidemiological services, as well as in radiation and functional diagnostics," he emphasized.

During the discussion, Deputy Suyunbek Omurzakov emphasized the need to construct a 100-bed hospital in the Kara-Kulzhinsky district of the Osh region, highlighting the importance of improving access to medical services for the population. Deputy Baktyyar Kalpaev also advocated for the construction of a new hospital building in the Orozbekov rural municipality of the Kadamjai district and an increase in the number of ambulances. Deputy Ismanali Joroev raised the issue of the need to improve the quality of medical services in the Batken region, considering its special status.

Deputy Zhyldyz Kurmanalieva also drew attention to the importance of opening rehabilitation centers for children with autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy, as well as expanding access to services from speech therapists, audiologists, and other specialists. Deputy Gulkan Moldobekova requested the ministry to support the organization of liver transplant surgeries at the National Surgical Center named after M. Mamakeev, noting that specialists have undergone the necessary training and acquired expensive equipment. "They need medications and medical supplies," she added.

Deputy Gulnara Akimbaeva also emphasized the importance of simplifying the medical examination process for children with disabilities.

Leader of the "Ala-Too" parliamentary group Talaibek Masabirov and Deputy Nilufer Alimjanova highlighted the growing number of cancer cases and urged the ministry to strengthen early diagnosis and improve treatment effectiveness in this area.

The meeting also provided information on the construction of social infrastructure facilities in the republic. Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakai Turdugulov presented data on this issue.

The deputies emphasized the importance of effectively completing construction work and rationally using budget funds, as well as attracted grants and loans for the development of social infrastructure.

In turn, the leader of the "Ishenim" parliamentary group Nurbek Sydygaliev proposed to monitor the construction process of hospitals in the Jumgal and Toguz-Toro districts within the ARIS program and raised the issue of the operation of "El-Aman" pharmacies in the regions.

Information was also heard about the progress of constructing social facilities (schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and others) in Kyrgyzstan, which was provided by Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Bakai Turdugulov.

The deputies again emphasized the need for effective completion of construction work and rational use of budget funds, grants, and loans allocated for the construction of social facilities.
