The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, addressed the nation with congratulations on Father's Day, which is celebrated on March 15.
In his address, he noted:
“Dear fathers!
Esteemed fellow citizens!
With sincere congratulations, I address you on this important day – Father's Day!”
“Since ancient times, the roles of parents have been clearly defined in our nation. The word ‘Life’ is a symbol of a great river for the Kyrgyz people, the source of which is the father. Therefore, the father is compared to a majestic mountain, while the mother is likened to its bubbling spring, and the children are the burning candles in the midst of this unity.”
This family structure serves as the foundation and support for the state. Respect for fathers is also reflected in the name of our nation, as we all consider ourselves descendants of a single ancestor – Kyrgyz-Ata. Respectful adherence to paternal traditions remains important and relevant for future generations.
Even in the context of globalization, when many traditions are undergoing changes, it is essential to preserve the greatness of the father, the sanctity of the mother, and the happiness of children as the most important values of the Kyrgyz people!
I sincerely believe that the veneration of fathers, who have taken on the responsibility for the people, and mothers, who have become the heart of our society, will be passed down to future generations as the foundation of our worldview.
Do not forget that expressions such as “The word of the father is the eye of reason,” “The craft of the father is a legacy for the children,” “A good name of the father is support for the son,” and “Fatherly advice is a blessing for the son” remain relevant to this day.
Fathers play a key role not only in raising children but also in strengthening family foundations. First and foremost, the father is a symbol of responsibility and the stability of the family. Allah has entrusted fathers with the destinies of their wives and children, endowing them with wisdom and strength so that they can overcome any difficulties for the sake of their loved ones.
In the family, the father is the main stronghold for the children, a reliable protector, and a role model, while in society, he acts as a mentor and the honor of the nation. We must always remember how important the role of the father is in shaping the future of our country.

May fathers be honored not only on this day but always, so that their place in society remains esteemed, and every Kyrgyzstani can be proud of their father.
