Currently, 34 facilities under the management of the mayor's office have been identified in the city of Osh, for which the necessary permits have not been obtained. It has been revealed that construction work was carried out simultaneously with the design process, but none of the facilities have complete documentation.
During a meeting organized by the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services of Kyrgyzstan, Nurdin Oruntaev, and the Mayor of Osh, Janarbek Akayev, issues concerning the private construction sector were discussed.
The meeting took place in an open dialogue format, where builders could ask questions and express their concerns. Participants noted that after the change in the leadership of the mayor's office, various problems began to emerge at construction sites. In particular, businessmen complained about the lack of payments for previously reached verbal agreements.
At the direction of President Sadyr Japarov, the Ministry of Construction has taken this situation under its control and is conducting a thorough examination of the activities of construction companies, the ministry reports.
“All construction projects in Osh will be completed, and the facilities under the management of the mayor's office will be transferred to the direct control of the Ministry of Construction. Issues of financing for construction companies will be resolved using funds from the republican budget by special instruction from the president,” stated Nurdin Oruntaev.
In conclusion, the minister noted that necessary decisions will be made based on the results of inspections conducted by the relevant state institutions.
