According to information published in The New York Times, the United States has sent Iran a plan consisting of 15 points aimed at helping to stop the war in the Middle East. This move underscores the Trump administration's desire to find a solution to exit a conflict that has serious economic consequences.

The proposed plan discusses key security aspects, including Iran's nuclear and missile programs. Additionally, one of the points is the restoration of security in maritime routes, especially in the Strait of Hormuz, which has been blocked, leading to disruptions in energy supply and a sharp rise in global oil and gas prices.

Sources report that Pakistan played a mediating role and facilitated the transmission of the American plan's text to the Iranian side.

Earlier, Axios analyst Barak Ravid, citing information from a senior Israeli official, reported that a meeting between high-ranking representatives of Iran and the U.S. is planned in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, later this week.

As part of the preparations for the summit in Pakistan, it is being considered that U.S. Vice President Vance will be the main representative of the American delegation.

Israel, although aware of the mediating efforts of several countries to initiate negotiations between Iran and the U.S., was surprised to learn of Trump's statements regarding progress in these contacts and the agreements reached on the 15 points.
