Attack on the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul: Identities of the Attackers Established

An incident involving gunfire occurred near the Israeli Consulate General in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul, as reported by Haberturk.

According to journalists, one of the attackers was neutralized at the scene, while two others were injured, including two police officers among the victims.

Turkey's Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi stated that the identities of the attackers have already been established.

He noted that one of them arrived in Istanbul in a rented car from Izmit and has connections to a group that uses religious motives. Çiftçi also added that one of the two terrorist brothers has a criminal record for drug offenses. These words were quoted by Haberturk.

Istanbul Governor Davut Gül stated that "there has been no activity at the consulate for about two and a half years."
