A new Nuclear Medicine Center will be established based on the National Center for Oncology and Hematology
During a working meeting between Deputy Minister of Health Bakytbek Kadyraliev and representatives of the State Corporation "Rosatom" and the National Center for Oncology and Hematology, which took place recently, the prospects for the development of nuclear medicine were discussed. The ministry's press service reported the details of the meeting.
Particular attention was paid to the status of the state project aimed at creating a Nuclear Medicine Center based on the already existing National Center for Oncology and Hematology. The participants of the meeting also outlined further steps to accelerate the implementation of the project.
The new center is expected to be equipped with its own production of radiopharmaceuticals using cyclotrons.
"The main goal of the project is to ensure effective diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular, oncological, and neurological diseases using modern radiopharmaceutical technologies and advanced nuclear medicine technologies," the press service noted.
