Kamalov noted that the Osh Regional Blood Center had been reorganized and now operates as a unified center for the region and the city. However, according to him, the situation in this institution is extremely alarming. "The conditions for donors do not meet the necessary standards at all. Under the previous management, a land plot was allocated next to the 'Elina' restaurant, but this issue has still not been resolved. When visiting the center, donors encounter a lack of proper medical conditions. The problem lies not in the center itself, but in its outdated technical base and the building, which does not meet modern requirements," he emphasized.
Kamalov also reminded that each blood center plays a key role in saving lives and urged the authorities to consider attracting off-budget funds or sponsors to address the issue. He noted that although land for the new center had been allocated, the legal documents have still not been formalized. "There are promises about construction and the arrival of investors, but in fact, nothing is happening. It would be great if you could take this issue under control," the deputy added.
The head of the Osh Regional and City Blood Center, Melisbek Ormonov, also confirmed that the institution does not meet medical standards. He stated that the center has been operating since 2002 on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Osh Interregional Unified Clinical Hospital's dormitory, and its condition leaves much to be desired. "The building is small and worn out, completely unsuitable for sanitary norms. The city administration allocated a plot of 15 acres for the construction of a new center, but without attracting sponsors, the work does not begin," Ormonov noted.
