Deputy Bolotbek Borbiev noted at a parliamentary meeting that cardiovascular diseases account for about 53% of all deaths in Kyrgyzstan. He requested information on what measures the Ministry of Health is taking to combat this issue.
In response to this request, the First Deputy Minister of Health Tilek Mamadaliev pointed out that in recent years, the country's cardiology service has achieved significant successes. According to him, the majority of deaths are related to myocardial infarction.
The Ministry clarified that angiographic devices are used for emergency assistance. In cases of acute myocardial infarction, patients are provided with the opportunity for free stent placement funded by the budget.
This medical assistance is already being provided at the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital, as well as in opened departments in Osh and Kadamjai. The Ministry of Health emphasized the importance of quick response during the "golden hour" when providing assistance for a heart attack.
In the future, the ministry plans to expand this practice so that medical institutions in every district of the country can provide similar services.
