34 Illegal Migrants Rescued Off the Coast of Izmir

In the Seferihisar district, located in Izmir province, the Turkish coast guard conducted a rescue operation for 34 illegal migrants, as reported by the Kazinform agency, citing Anadolu Ajansi.

According to information posted on the official website of the Coast Guard Command, the migrants were on an inflatable boat that drifted into open sea due to engine failure.

After an alarm signal was received, a rescue boat was dispatched to the area, which brought 14 children among the rescued to shore.

Additionally, in the Menderes area, coast guard officers detained another seven illegal migrants, including minors.

All migrants were handed over to the regional migration service for further action after the necessary procedures were completed.
