Three-Year-Old Indian Becomes Youngest FIDE Rating Holder

Sarvagya, who is only three years old, has become the first chess player in the world to officially receive a FIDE rating. According to The Guardian, he has already won against three opponents with active ratings and managed to score 1,572 points in rapid chess. For reference, the rating of world champion Magnus Carlsen is 2,824 points.

Sarvagya's father, Siddharth Singh, expressed pride in his son and hopes that he will achieve grandmaster status in the future.

Previously, the record belonged to Indian chess player Anish Sarkar, who received his rating at the age of three years, eight months, and 19 days. Sarvagya set a new record by doing this at three years, seven months, and 20 days.
