The head of state emphasized the achievements of Kyrgyz athletes, such as Akjol Mahmudov, Zholaman Sharshenbekov, Ernazar Akmataliev, Aysuluu Tynybekova, Meirim Jumanzarova, and Aiperi Medet kyzy, whose names are known beyond the country's borders. Out of the six medals won by Kyrgyzstan at the Olympic Games in Paris, five were in wrestling.
Sadyr Japarov stressed that the development of sports in the country is a priority, which is reflected in the construction of modern sports facilities, the opening of academies, and the improvement of conditions for professional and mass sports. He expressed hope that the support of UWW would allow Kyrgyzstan to host world wrestling championships.
Nenad Lalovic noted significant changes in the sports infrastructure and the successful achievements of Kyrgyz athletes on the international stage. He also touched upon the country's preparation for the World Nomad Games, where wrestling holds an important place.
Mohammed Al-Awamleh expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and noted that the active state policy in the field of sports enhances Kyrgyzstan's prestige on the international stage.
At the end of the meeting, Sadyr Japarov awarded Nenad Lalovic the Order of "Dostuk," and Mohammed Al-Awamleh received a Certificate of Honor from the Kyrgyz Republic. In response, Lalovic awarded the president with the UWW Order.
