Nyambaatar Khishgee, the mayor of Ulaanbaatar, emphasized that in 2026 the city intends to enhance cooperation with private companies and organizations. As part of these efforts, a reform of the multi-level system of permits and controls is planned, which creates obstacles for doing business. He noted that the city will work with the private sector to provide necessary information about major projects and simplify tender requirements for local companies. Cooperation with financial institutions is also planned to attract investments and improve the legal framework.
Furthermore, the mayor added that next year Ulaanbaatar will conduct a full assessment of its assets and begin participating in the financial market, which will help address the capital shortage faced by the private sector.
