The country's authorities are focused on increasing the efficiency of state enterprises, aiming to minimize competition between the public and private sectors.

One of the main tasks of the government is to combat corruption in state structures and ensure transparency in their operations. From 2010 to 2025, 581 contracts out of 586 concluded by the company "Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi" have been disclosed. Currently, efforts are also underway to ensure transparency in five international contracts.

A draft law concerning state and municipal enterprises has already been submitted to the parliament and is currently under consideration. A draft law on state property is also being reviewed. The adoption of these documents will pave the way for large-scale reforms by the government.

During the autumn session of parliament, the government will present documents related to the privatization of 10-51% of shares in the airline MIAT, the State Bank, CHPP-3, and several state companies engaged in electricity distribution.
