
The festival, which will be held for the 14th time, aims to develop specialized tourism, extend the winter tourist season, and attract more visitors during the cold months. It will also promote the traditions and cultural heritage of Mongolia while supporting extreme winter sports and adventure tourism.
As part of the event, a series of competitions are planned, including an international ice archery championship and a national championship, as well as city championships in Ulaanbaatar in various sports such as snowboarding, paragliding, winter rugby, alpine skiing, and curling. Additionally, enthusiasts will have the opportunity to participate in relay competitions in ice climbing, tug-of-war, and the "Great Tour" among students in the tourism sector.
The festival program will also feature demonstrations by paragliders, showcases involving Mongolian bankhar dogs and falconry, as well as various entertainment options, including food, ski and sled rentals, and artistic performances.
It is expected that over 1,000 athletes from Ulaanbaatar and all 21 aimags of Mongolia will participate in the festival. More than 50 athletes from the Autonomous Region of Inner Mongolia, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China, as well as from the Republic of Buryatia, the Republic of Kalmykia, and the Republic of Tuva of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, and the United States of America have also registered.
