According to information received from local authorities, this young man suffers from a mental disorder. He was apprehended by Civil Guard officers and later hospitalized for necessary medical assistance.
According to medical sources, after receiving initial care at the airport, he was taken to the psychiatric department of the Main Hospital in Valencia. It is known that he had previously undergone treatment and was experiencing difficulties related to returning to his country. Just a day before the incident, he was seen in the terminal, where he was seeking information about flights to Morocco.
Although airport representatives (Aena) assured that this incident posed no security threat to passengers or air traffic, the flight delay still occurred. Passengers were able to depart on another aircraft at 21:00 after additional checks of the fuselage of the first Airbus by Vueling specialists. Reports were filed regarding violations in air navigation.
