
As a result of the floods in western Morocco, 37 people have died. This was reported by TanjaNews, citing local authorities. Earlier, the number of victims was known to be 20.
An additional 14 people are under medical supervision. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
The floods, caused by heavy rains, began on December 14 in the coastal province of Safi. At least 70 homes and shops, as well as several roads, have been damaged.
