Tom Rose, the U.S. Ambassador to Poland, announced the cessation of all contacts with the Speaker of the Polish Parliament, Włodzimierz Czarzasty. This decision, as the diplomat emphasized, was prompted by "completely unjustified and outrageous insults" directed at U.S. President Donald Trump, as reported by Polish Radio.

In his announcement on platform X, Rose stressed that from this moment on, the U.S. will cease any contacts and interactions with the Speaker of the Sejm. He noted that the United States will not tolerate actions that could undermine Polish-American relations or contain insults towards Trump.

The ambassador's statement was responded to by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who emphasized that allies should show mutual respect, rather than "read lectures."

Czarzasty had previously expressed disagreement with Trump's nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize, claiming that the American president does not deserve it. He also criticized Trump's actions in the area of international security, including his statements about a possible annexation of Greenland and the reduction of Europe's contribution to NATO operations in Afghanistan.

Poland continues to be one of the main U.S. allies in Europe, possessing one of the highest military budgets among NATO members and actively supporting Ukraine. However, the Warsaw authorities express skepticism about Trump's attempts to reach a peace agreement with Russia.
