In particular, the avalanche threat concerns road sections from 48 to 74 km and from 78 to 81 km, especially in the areas of Maihura and Zideh in the Varzob district.
According to the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Republic of Tajikistan, the risks of avalanches are also relevant for mountainous regions under republican jurisdiction and the western part of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. Moreover, in some areas of the Khatlon region, mudflow events are expected in the coming days due to rainfall.
Special services strongly recommend that drivers and local residents exercise caution when traveling along mountain routes and take current weather conditions into account.
