One of the key aspects of the training has been the complexity of the initial and intermediate training programs conducted in previous years. Thus, the focus was placed on practicing combat skills in mountainous terrain. Both sides jointly implemented a number of exercises, including shooting while descending and ascending mountains, as well as climbing using mountaineering equipment.



Karsten Breuer (born December 1, 1964) is a general of the Bundeswehr, serving as the 17th Inspector General. Previously, he led the Bundeswehr Defense Command and is known for his work managing the operational group dealing with COVID-19. Additionally, he commanded the Bundeswehr Territorial Command, the 37th Armored Infantry Brigade, and the 12th Armored Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion.
