Uzbekistan and the USA signed a package of agreements and presented joint investment projects in Washington

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the signing ceremony of bilateral documents and the presentation of joint projects with American partners as part of the business program of his visit to Washington, D.C.

Representatives of the U.S. government and financial institutions attended the event, including Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, Special Presidential Envoy Paolo Zampolli, President of the Export-Import Bank John Yovanovich, and Chairwoman of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm. Leaders of major companies such as Traxys, Valmont Industries, Gulf Oil, Aviagen Broiler Breeding Group, John Deere, and BlackRock Financial Markets Advisory were also noted to be present. Video conferencing enabled the participation of regional leaders from Uzbekistan.

In his speech, Mirziyoyev emphasized that this meeting in a new format is a logical continuation of the previous "round table" and reflects the growth of strategic trust in economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the USA.

"The main aspects are becoming the reliability of partners, predictability of conditions, and long-term prospects for cooperation. We are building our interaction with the United States precisely in this logic," the president noted.

He also outlined the key directions of Uzbekistan's socio-economic development, highlighting that the economic agenda is the foundation of the strategic partnership between the two countries. Priority areas for joint work include projects in critical raw materials, petrochemicals, energy, agriculture, and poultry farming.

The president highlighted the importance of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and the U.S. Export-Import Bank as systemic partners for supporting investment deals and emphasized the need to activate the work of the Joint Business and Investment Council.

To deepen interregional cooperation, it was instructed to organize visits of the heads of regions of Uzbekistan to partner states in the USA.

In the presence of the president, agreements were signed regarding the implementation of projects for the construction of gas stations, the introduction of irrigation technologies, the extraction and supply of critical minerals, the creation of poultry clusters, the development of the agro-industrial complex, and the improvement of the investment climate.
