As reported by "Ukrainian Truth," Zelensky stated that the very fact of negotiations with Russia is already a significant compromise for Ukraine.

He noted: "Standing where we stand is a big compromise. Russia has seized almost 20% of our territory, and we are ready to discuss peace based on the principle of 'standing where we stand.' This is a serious step towards meeting halfway," he added in an interview with the Japanese agency Kyodo News.

The President of Ukraine emphasizes that Kyiv is open to "real compromises," but will not allow concessions that threaten the independence and integrity of the country.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine is ready to discuss compromises with the USA, but does not intend to accept ultimatums from Russia. "Russia is the aggressor, and this is recognized by all," he noted.

Moreover, Zelensky criticized the proposals from Russian representatives, calling them ultimatums. "This is not a compromise. This is an ultimatum when they say: 'I am ready not to kill you — give us everything.' We are ready for compromises that respect our sovereignty and integrity," he emphasized.

The President also noted the lack of progress in discussions on territorial issues during the negotiations in Geneva. "So far, no one sees any positivity on this issue, and this is a fact that we must accept," he added.

The parties agreed to hold a new round of negotiations within 10 days, possibly also in Geneva. "We are confident that we still have real opportunities for a dignified end to the war, and the international community can help in this," Zelensky stated.

He also reported that the Ukrainian side has prepared responses to key questions and defined priorities for the next stage of negotiations. "Our responses to complex questions are ready, and priorities for the negotiation team have been determined," he noted.

According to information, trilateral negotiations involving Ukraine, Russia, and the USA took place on February 18 in Geneva, where the parties agreed on monitoring compliance with the ceasefire regime with the participation of the USA.
