In the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, the number of fatalities due to heavy rains has reached 30 people

As a result of heavy rains in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, 30 people have died, and another 39 are reported missing, according to the Report agency, citing information from the CNN Brasil television channel.

The continuous rains have led to flooding and landslides, with the cities of Juiz de Fora and Ubá being the most severely affected. Approximately 440 people have been left homeless, and 13 individuals were rescued from collapsed buildings. A total of 208 victims have received assistance, with medical care being provided.

According to Brazil's Vice President Geraldo Alckmin, the armed forces have been deployed to assist those affected, including helicopters and military equipment. As reported by the Metrópoles portal, those left homeless will be offered initial financial assistance of 800 Brazilian reais (approximately $155). These funds will be handed over to local authorities for the purchase of mattresses, clothing, and food supplies.
