As part of these projects, five with a total amount of $570.9 million are in the process of implementation, while six completed initiatives with a total investment of $602.2 million are at the guarantee stage.
According to the Ministry of Transport, in 2025, work began on the construction of the roads Dushanbe – Gulishton (49 km long), Gulishton – Farhor (29.6 km), as well as the reconstruction of the third section of the Obigarm-Nurobod road.
In the past year, 243.5 km of new roads were completed, 30 bridges were built, 5 tunnels, 6 avalanche protection galleries, and a number of other transport infrastructure facilities.
The Ministry also reminds that in June of last year, important facilities were opened in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, including a section of the Dushanbe-Kulma road with a length of 93 km, as well as the road from the administrative center of the Vanj district to the Dushanbe-Kulma highway (16 km), and avalanche protection galleries with bridges.
In addition, in August 2025, an important structure in the Rasht Valley was ceremonially opened — the Obigarm — Nurobod road, 75 km long, with three tunnels and 11 bridges.
In November of last year, sections of the roads "Dehmoy — Bobojon Gafurov," "Bobojon Gafurov — Khistevarz," and "Kuchchak — Kanibadam" with a total length of 40 km were put into operation in the Sughd region.
It is worth noting that one of the key tasks of the government is to overcome the communication deadlock. To achieve this goal, according to the Ministry of Transport, from 1991 to 2025, 2407.8 km of roads, 274 bridges were reconstructed and repaired, as well as 2 three-level and 2 two-level intersections, and 7 transport tunnels were built.
Overall, during the specified period, 58 projects in the transport sector of the country were implemented with a total cost of over $2.2 billion.
