According to information from Euronews, in response to the joint actions of the USA and Israel against Iran, Dubai and Abu Dhabi were subjected to massive attacks. As a result, hundreds of missiles and drones were shot down, causing damage, including at Dubai Airport's terminal and Abu Dhabi's Zayed International Airport. In these attacks, one person was killed, and four others sustained serious injuries. The Burj Al Arab hotel and Jebel Ali port were also affected.
On the same day, Tokayev contacted the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, by phone, expressing support for the people of Qatar during this difficult time.
The president's press service reported that Tokayev is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East and calls for restraint to avoid further escalation of conflicts. He reiterated that all international disagreements should be resolved peacefully through diplomacy.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan announced the transition of foreign institutions to an enhanced mode of operation in light of the worsening military-political situation in the region. They are updating lists of Kazakhs in the conflict zone, including transit areas. Diplomats, together with travel companies, are providing support for the accommodation of citizens and developing measures for their possible evacuation from dangerous areas.
