
During this conversation, Pezeshkian categorically rejected information about a possible attack on Azerbaijan, describing it as "rumors" and "a conspiracy by enemies" seeking to undermine relations between Tehran and Baku.
He emphasized: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has always adhered to and will continue to adhere to the course of protecting its territorial integrity and maintaining peace."
Furthermore, the President of Iran noted that Tehran is actively engaging in dialogue with other countries in the Middle East, especially in light of recent discussions regarding missile and drone attacks.
“In our communications with neighboring countries, we explained that strikes on American military bases are an exclusively defensive reaction aimed at protecting our state and people,” he added.
In Pezeshkian's opinion, the presence of foreign forces in the region is one of the main reasons for instability in the Middle East.
