Pakistan carried out airstrikes on the main office of the Afghan 'Taliban' intelligence in Kandahar
According to regional media and sources on social networks, the supreme leader of the 'Taliban' movement, Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada, was killed as a result of an airstrike by the Pakistani Air Force. This information came from his family.
It is believed that the strike targeted Akhundzada's residence, located in Kandahar—a center where key figures of the movement are based. According to reports, at the time of the attack, the Taliban were holding a secret meeting, and most of the intelligence leaders were destroyed.
Earlier, it was reported that Pakistani planes attacked a fuel storage facility of Kam Air, located near Kandahar Airport. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed that this facility supplies fuel for civilian and humanitarian flights of the UN.
The information about Akhundzada's death was also confirmed by the 'National Resistance Front,' which actively opposes the 'Taliban' and other Islamist groups in Afghanistan.
In their post, they stated that Akhundzada's death was confirmed by his family.
So far, the official authorities of Afghanistan have not made any comments on this matter.
