Mongolia continues to actively expand its interaction with France in the fields of urban planning, infrastructure, and sustainable development.
Recently, Ulaanbaatar's mayor, Nyambaatar Khishgee, met with a delegation led by the French ambassador to Mongolia, Corinne Pereira Da Silva. During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
“France is our third neighbor and an important European partner,” noted Nyambaatar. He emphasized that Ulaanbaatar aims to develop its ties with Paris and other cities, particularly within the framework of metro and cable car construction projects that were already discussed earlier this year in the French cities of Paris and Lyon. The mayor expressed confidence that cooperation will continue to deepen within the framework of strategic partnership.
Corinne Pereira, for her part, confirmed France's readiness to support the further development of bilateral relations.
In 2023, the 61st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and France is celebrated.
