On March 17, the Minister of Health of Mongolia, Chinburgen Jigjidsuren, met with Beate Dastel, who was recently appointed as the representative of the United Nations Children's Fund in the country.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of health, as well as ways to improve joint initiatives aimed at protecting the health and well-being of children.
Beate Dastel, representing UNICEF, began her work in Mongolia in February 2026 and has over 23 years of experience in international development and program planning. Previously, she served as the UNICEF representative in Djibouti and was also the deputy representative in Laos and Bhutan.
