The deceased Ali Larijani, who passed away on March 17, was reportedly killed as a result of an Israeli strike on Tehran, according to Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz. Iranian sources also state that Larijani's son and his head of security were killed in this attack.
Hossein Dehghan served as Minister of Defense from 2013 to 2017 and has been heading the "Mostazafan" Foundation since 2023, which is the largest energy conglomerate in Iran.
On February 28, a military operation by the US and Israel against Iran began, one of the stated goals of which, according to Washington, is to overthrow the government in the country. As a result of this operation, high-ranking officials were killed, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
