
The dam breach was recorded 2 km north of the village of Sabyndy. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, police, and road services are involved in the elimination of the consequences, with about 170 people and 43 units of equipment engaged. Work is underway to strengthen the dam, deposit inert materials, and divert water.
According to the national company "KazAvtoZhol," as a result of the incident, water is spreading across the fields and crossing the republican highway Astana – Korgalzhyn at the 75th kilometer.
However, the company reports that water has not overflowed onto the roadway. The culvert in this section is functioning normally, ensuring full water flow.
The road has not been damaged and remains intact and undamaged.
