In Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into a criminal case related to large-scale fraud. During this investigation, former deputy Akkula Berdiev was detained.
The investigation established that in 2022, Berdiev, using deceptive schemes, unlawfully acquired a significant amount of money and used it for his own interests.
Additionally, law enforcement had previously received complaints from Berdiev's wife regarding instances of domestic violence. These statements have been registered and are under review in accordance with current legislation.
The work of the investigative authorities is ongoing.
