As a result of the fire that occurred in Suusamyr, two people died. This was reported by the Department of Internal Affairs of the Chui region.

The incident took place on January 25, 2026, around 11:35, when the duty station of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil district received information about a fire involving a large cargo truck on the 141st kilometer of the Bishkek - Osh highway.

An investigative operational group immediately went to the scene to establish the circumstances. During the investigation, it was revealed that the MAN truck belonged to O.K., born in 1981, who was engaged in private transportation of petroleum products.

Two days before the tragedy, on January 23, he received an order to transport AI-92 gasoline from one of the limited liability companies involved in oil processing. K.A., born in 1989, was hired as the driver.

On January 25, at approximately 11:20, K.A. was heading south with a cargo of 28 tons of petroleum products towards the city of Osh. The owner of the vehicle, O.K., was also with him.

During the trip, the front left tire burst, leading to a loss of control: the vehicle veered into the oncoming lane and overturned. As a result of the ensuing fire, the truck was completely burned. Both men died at the scene.

Their bodies were sent to the morgue of the Jayil district hospital, where forensic examinations were ordered. The investigation is ongoing.

Representatives of the Department of Internal Affairs also reported that no harm was done to the environment as a result of this incident, since no leaks of petroleum products were recorded—all flammable materials burned on site.
