In the Chuy region, the internal affairs department provided information about a tragic road incident in Suusamyr, where a fuel truck overturned and two people died.
On January 25, 2026, at approximately 11:35, the duty station of the Jayil district police received a signal from the 112 service about a fire in a large cargo vehicle on the 141st kilometer of the Bishkek – Osh highway.
After receiving the report, an investigative operational group was dispatched to the scene to clarify the circumstances.
During the investigation, it was established that the truck, a MAN model, belonged to O.K., born in 1981, who was engaged in the private transportation of petroleum products.
On January 23, 2026, O.K. received an order for the transportation of fuel and lubricants (AI-92 gasoline) from one of the limited liability companies operating in oil refining. K.A., born in 1989, was chosen as the driver.
On the day of the incident, January 25, at around 11:20, K.A., driving the truck and transporting 28 tons of petroleum products to the city of Osh, was heading south. O.K. was also in the vehicle.
While driving, the truck's front left tire burst, leading to a loss of control by the driver. The vehicle veered into the oncoming lane and overturned. As a result of the rollover, a fire broke out, and both men died at the scene," the police reported.
The bodies of the deceased were sent to the morgue of the Jayil district hospital, and necessary examinations were appointed. The investigation is ongoing.
It was also established that as a result of the fire caused by the ignition of petroleum products, no damage was inflicted on the environment, as there was no leakage— all fuel and lubricants burned at the scene.
The Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Chuy region urges drivers to thoroughly check the technical condition of their vehicles before long trips.
