According to local residents, the incident occurred on the night of January 18 to 19. The next day, on January 20, the bodies of the 15-year-old girl and the 25-year-old driver were found in the burned car.
“S.T. was a wonderful girl, an honor student and one of the best pupils. On this difficult day, she was seen off by her parents, classmates, and villagers,” local residents noted.
As previously reported by the press service of the Interior Ministry of the Chui region, on January 20 at 09:53, information was received at the duty station of the Moscow district police about a burned car of the make "Volkswagen Golf 3," silver in color, found on the roadside on the eastern outskirts of the village of Spartak, near a lake.
A forensic investigative group was dispatched to the scene, which confirmed the presence of two fatalities: the driver was in the front seat, while the passenger was in the rear right seat.
The identities of the victims have been established: the driver O.E., born in 2000, a resident of Spartak, and the passenger T.S., born in 2010, a teacher of the 10th grade at the local secondary school.
According to the Interior Ministry, during the investigation, it was found that O.E. purchased the car on January 11, 2026, at a car market. Two days later, on January 13, he contacted electrician S.S. regarding a malfunction of the left headlight. The electrician pointed out the extremely poor condition of the car, referring to exposed wires, safety violations, as well as the presence of the smell of gasoline and smoke in the cabin, and warned the owner about the high likelihood of dangerous use of the vehicle.
As reported by Turmush, in the village of Telman in the Panfilov district, on January 22 the funeral of a young man took place, whose body was found in a burned car near Spartak.
The father of the deceased young man is from the village of Telman. There is information that he is survived by his mother and younger sister.
