According to the victim, a man contacted him via the WhatsApp messenger, introducing himself as an employee of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS). He offered his services to secure the release of a person involved in a criminal case from a pre-trial detention center for a sum of 17 thousand dollars. Ultimately, the victim became a victim of deception.
This incident was registered under Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Bishkek City Police detained the alleged fraudster. He turned out to be A.T., born in 1988, who had previously had legal issues. Since 2022, this individual had been on the international wanted list. He is currently placed in a temporary detention facility.
Investigative actions are ongoing.
