30 hectares of land that were previously privately owned in the Masančy area of Karakol have been returned to state ownership. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (GKNB KR).

According to the agency, these plots of land were illegally removed from the land of JSC "Zhemish" and distributed among the shareholders and employees of the company. All the plots are located in the Masančy area in the northwest of Karakol.

After conducting the necessary procedures, the former shareholders and employees of JSC "Zhemish" agreed to return the land to the state. A new residential complex is planned to be built on this territory, with an estimated cost of more than 22 million soms.
