The water infrastructure facility, previously unlawfully privatized, has been returned to state ownership. This concerns the daily regulation reservoir (DRR) located in the Issyk-Ata district of the Chui region, which belonged to the Ministry of Agriculture and Melioration of the Kyrgyz Republic. This was reported by the press service of the State National Security Committee (GKNB).

According to information from the agency, on November 30, 1999, this DRR was illegally transferred to the agricultural production cooperative "Pakhary" based on a transfer act. Later, in 2021, this reservoir was officially transferred to the ownership of the SPC "Pakhary" by decision No. 28 of the head of the Ivanov rural council.

However, this facility is now back on the state balance and has been transferred to the management of the Issyk-Ata Water Management Department of the ministry.

Reference Daily regulation reservoirs (DRR) were actively created during the Soviet era to ensure irrigation of agricultural land. Their main task is to accumulate water during periods of surplus (in winter or during the rainy season) and to use this water during droughts.
