
Operational activities were carried out among activists and supporters of the organization
In order to monitor the religious situation and neutralize the actions of the extremist group 'Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami', the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) together with the Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region conducted operational investigative measures in the Osh region. This was reported by the press service of the GKNB.
As part of a criminal case, on February 10, 2026, searches were conducted in the homes of 11 activists and supporters of this organization in the Nookat district.
During the searches, 217 items of evidence were seized, including: 75 books, 14 mobile devices, 18 notebooks, 86 DVDs, 4 tablets, 1 laptop, 2 SIM cards, 14 Russian passports, 1 seal, 1 video cassette, and 1 'Bakay Bank' debit card.
All collected materials will be sent for judicial examination in the field of religious studies. Depending on the results of the examination, appropriate measures will be taken against members of 'Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami' in accordance with current legislation, the agency noted.
