A local resident has been detained in Bishkek, suspected of organizing events related to mass riots. Investigative actions were carried out by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), who, during the investigation of the criminal case, discovered that some citizens were holding meetings and expressing dissatisfaction with the current state policy, using agitation to plan disturbances.
The suspect turned out to be J.M., born in 1971. Following a court sanction, searches were conducted at his residence and in his Toyota 4Runner vehicle.
During the searches, documents in the name of the detainee, five mobile phones of different brands, a micro-SIM card, foreign numbers, two notebooks with entries, a folder with 14 sheets titled "Ashara Hidast," 68 books in Arabic, a box with Arabic books, two radios of the "INE" brand, and other items of interest to the investigation were found.
As a result of the investigative actions, J.M. was detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police Department.
On December 13, 2025, he was charged under part 1 of Article 278 (Mass Riots) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. On the same day, the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek decided to remand him in custody until January 5, 2026.
The investigation is ongoing.
