Large rocks collapsed on the highway, damaging a truck and blocking the road
Today, February 16, at the 400th kilometer of the Bishkek — Osh road, in the Ak-Sai area near Kara-Kul, a landslide occurred with a volume of 80 cubic meters. This incident was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
As a result of the rockfall, a 50-year-old man died, and two others sustained minor injuries. Huge boulders fell on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter truck, striking it on the side and completely blocking traffic on this section of the road.
By 07:50, all the rocks had been cleared, and traffic was restored.
